Direct recovery of metallic tellurium from spent Bi–Te intermetallic alloy

چکیده

With its low abundance in the Earth’s crust and high mining costs, metallic tellurium (Te) is a limited resource. In advanced material industries, it irrecoverable from solid wastes. Hence, we investigated hydrothermal treatment of Bi–Te intermetallic alloy (BT-alloy) to develop an eco-friendly resource recovery technique for recovering Te. High-purity (∼100 mass %) Te powder can be directly recovered BT-alloy (0.1 g) with H2SO4 solution (30 mL, 3.0 mol/L) at 200 °C least 20 h. heating, was formed by oxidation Te2− BT-alloy. this study, demonstrated first time that selective metal deposition elemental extraction materials could achieved treatment. Therefore, used recover chemical resources, such as metals, waste materials.

AlNb intermetallic alloy

This investigation was conducted to ascertain the benefits of electropolishing after mechanical polishing for electron backscattered diffraction of a Ti 2 AlNb intermetallic Ti − 21Al − 29Nb (at.%) alloy containing the orthorhombic (O) and body-centered-cubic (BCC) phases. Electropolishing was performed at − 40 ° C in 6% H 2 SO 4 methanol solution. Atomic force microscopy was used to measure th...

Bacterial recovery and recycling of tellurium from tellurium-containing compounds by Pseudoalteromonas sp. EPR3.

AIMS Tellurium-based devices, such as photovoltaic (PV) modules and thermoelectric generators, are expected to play an increasing role in renewable energy technologies. Tellurium, however, is one of the scarcest elements in the earth's crust, and current production and recycling methods are inefficient and use toxic chemicals. This study demonstrates an alternative, bacterially mediated telluri...

recovery of nickel from spent catalysts by hydrometallurgical method

there are no appreciable amounts of nickel resources in iran; therefore, secondary resources of this element are to be more considered in future. spent nickel catalysts that are used in various industrial processes are one of them. for example nickel catalyst that is used in hydrogenation of edible oil have large amounts of nickel and they are generally supported on porous materials like silica...
